Thank you all for attending the planning meeting last night at climate camp. What a beautiful space to discuss the future of the garden.
We all agreed that while the uncertainty remains about the bailiffs, we want to continue to use the garden to its best potential! So join us for our following open days –
Wednesday 27th April – Grand Open Day! Whether we are allowed to stay or go, the seedlings are growing vigorously and need care. Come help us water and fight the battle of the snails and weeds, and as a bonus help us to thin out our rocket and salad by eating it as you garden! We will also continue building the Mobile Mound to be taken to different areas of the City to showcase the possibilities for urban gardening.
Saturday 30th April – May Day, International Worker’s Day - A busy day of positive protests through out the city. The Mound will be open to celebrate community empowerment through guerrilla gardening. Join us for some tea, making of mayday garlands and dancing around our may pole.
Sunday 1st May – Come celebrate International Sunflower Guerrilla Gardening Day by planting sunflowers both at the Mound and around the city!
Thanks again for all your support and look forward to getting some soil under our fingers with you in these next few days.
